Politics aside, it's actually sort of funny. Childish and petty as was mentioned in the OP, but has a glimmer of comedy in there.

He's no longer there to hammer to death, so they resort to this.

I can just picture the people who paid for this, gulping down champagne as they see it fly over and getting their twisted little minds into a frenzy over their "accomplishment." How stupid can people get.
have you not seen how petty that egomaniac is in the last 5 years?

Seems Golf Digest doesn't think so. https://www.golfdigest.com/gallery/a...ourses-ranking

2 of Trump's international courses make the top 100 but none of his USA courses make the top 100.

That should tell you something right there. I have played more than a handful of the courses on that list. I have also played Trump, Bedminster. It definitely belongs above several of the ones I have played on the list. After all, they dont hold the PGA Championship on just any old golf course. I wonder why it isn't even on there. Hmm. Why could that be?

This seems like a weird place for you to make your stand. Don't you think you might want to examine why you cant even let the slightest compliment of anything involving Trump, go without a challenge?

And his neighbors. Zoning changes is a town council matter and the neighbors have every right to voice their opinions at the time.

I thought he signed some kind of agreement with Palm Springs that it would never become a permanent full-time residence when he was setting up the property as a country club?

So, now, how does Palm Springs enforce the agreement? The issue didn't arise earlier because Trump's residence was the White House.

Why in the hell would Trump want to live in California?
