The equivalent of our extreme Left already exists in govts across Europe. They've already secured representation and policy. Claiming they are a threat to American govt when they've already achieved the same goals in Europe is stupid and ignorant.
Meanwhile, the equivalent of our extreme Right is either non-existent or a marginal player in a handful of countries, mostly in the former Soviet bloc.
In fact, the US is so much farther to the right than europe, that europeans often look at our state of affairs and ask questions like this on international politics discussion boards, scratching their heads.

There's always going to be outliers on the actual extremes. The outliers on the Left hold zero political power or influence.
Antifa & ACAB groups don't get people elected, and they don't have any significant presence in the Left. That's the extreme Left, powerless.
The real problem is that the people saying the "Extreme Left" is AOC and Bernie, like they don't represent conventional positions on most Democracies on Earth. By definition, that's not extreme.
