That's been a popular narrative for decades at this point. Bank Tellers were supposed to extinct by the mid 90s with everyone using ATMs. It's only going bye if people accept that narrative. And yes debit cards could take it's place but there's still a purchase/location history there.
Beginning in the 70’s, technology substitution and industrial robotics have eliminated more jobs than offshoring.
The number of bank teller positions is a small fraction of what it once was.
Direct and mobile deposits are achieved without visiting a bank.
I use a credit card for nearly everything, beyond ad hoc tipping.
The cost of credit card processing is baked into most retail prices.
I pay off balances each month and earn a few $ thousand in “ cash rewards” annually.
Cash will be around for the rest of our lives...guaranteed!
Main reason being, corruption relies on cash changing hands secretly.
If cash went bye bye, how would the drug cartels make payoffs to the DEA to keep the drug war going? How would lobbyists payoff politicians without tangible cash?
What really needs to change is they need to stop using credit scores for anything that has nothing to do with stupid interaction with evil debt.
Its an "I love debt score" afterall. You cannot get a good credit score without having some form of debt which is just wrong. Even more wrong is that some insurance companies and even employers use credit score to determine whether you get a job or not. I could understand if there are bad things on report, but they should not look at the score as it is not fair to those who never use debt like myself.
They need to ban the use of credit scores for things like job hiring and insurance and phone bills and such. Or change the way credit score works so if you are debt free you get rewarded like for paying utility and insurance bills on time which have nothing to do with debt.
its disgusting and wrong that someone would suggest you take out a loan on a car to help build credit when you otherwise could pay cash because your credit is used for those things. That is horribly evil.
There is a difference between incurring debt and being in debt.
I have no debt, despite using a credit card for nearly everything. I pay off balances each month.
Further, an issue is that, often, those making the judgement only see one thing in it and not what the viewer in question might be seeing it.
A feminist might see the viewer watching it to see the degradation of the woman in it while the viewer might be seeing something else. Of course, one could always get into the argument that the degradation is what viewer seeks, even if unconsciously.......and should be protected or corrected against that.
In this regard, I rather see porn like ancient Greek plays. One is granted the perfect fantasy by watching, oh say Allora Ashlyn, without experiencing the reality of it of being used to pieces, so they can have the dark side, feel those appetites, without crossing over into that world and its pain. For as Claire Evans said, supposedly, when you do porn, you give away a part of yourself and never get it back.
Not quite like suffering like Tantalus.....but good enough.
HENCE, we come to an issue here. Does my knowing a lot about Claire Evans, of putting her name into a search engine, mean my mind is entirely in the gutter? That my credit score is so related?
For the benefit of our studio audience at home, Claire Evans was an adult model and actress who left the industry and is now a priest.
I have never used credit to by anything before including my home!!
Some day you will likely need or choose to sell your home. If the number of buyers were somehow limited to only those who could pay cash for your home, the value of your property would be seriously impacted.
When a legit source says this, it might something to debate, but this is too clickbaity.
This is the International Monetary Fund blog that references the study. This is seriously being considered as the future and even referred to as "superior" to conventional credit scoring methods. It is evil but that is the direction in which we are headed if we tolerate it. So far the population has not had many issues with invasion of privacy by tech, so this could certainly be the future of credit.
4 years of anonymous orange man bad was good enough though.
