Israel is a huge burden on the American taxpayer. If we stopped the aide we give to Israel, Israel wouldn't be our friend or ally anymore. I wish the Israelis well, but a war with Iran is something the USA doesn't need now or ever. Totally respect this viewpoint.

I disagree with this. True, the distance is a problem and it negates some of Israel’s capabilities. But make no mistake, they can inflict a massive amount of pain and suffering on Iran with the weapons systems they currently have.
I don’t think it will ever come to that though, because both sides don’t want war and the US certainly doesn’t want it either, nor does any other country in the region.
This was mainly a message to Biden to tell him that they like how it is going right now.
Distance is not "a" problem, it is "the" problem. Not only does Israel not have heavy bombers, their refueling fleet is rather dismal as is are any recovery if a pilot is shot down, regarding distance.
Inflict damage? The entire reason to attack them would be to disable their nuclear program, however, the program is buried deep in fortified bunkers, and requires bunker buster bombs, deep penetrators' bombs, to destroy/significantly damage them.
Israel has no capability of using these bombs, they require heavy bombers which Israel does not have.
Hitting some storage site, AA sites, etc, is really a useless effort given the thousands of targets there would be to hit. It would be symbolic, but a huge, wasted effort at such a symbolic effort.
Israel excels at actual defense along its borders and within short range, their entire military is set up for it and it probably the best in the world at it. However, long range they suffer greatly, it is a different ball game.
My concern is more around some liberal’s obsession with “the adversary” Russia. I like Biden, wish him a great 4 years, but seems like some dems have been pushing for war with Russia for years now. That’s the ultimate scary issue IMO.

Israel does not have the means to attack Iran in any significant way, so it is a moot point. The only purpose would be to knock out the nuclear facilities, but need the bunker buster bombs to do it, and those can only be dropped by heavy bombers or cargo planes, a fighter jet cannot do it. Israel has no heavy bombers, and it is amusing to think they would fly cargo planes into Iran to drop bombs.
Israel would need the assistance of the US at the minimum.
The arguement is that Israel became the very thing that hurt their people in the 40s and now they're treating Palestinians the same way. Saw a video where soldiers sicked a dog on a kid.
It's not the people that are the enemy. There are Jewish groups wanting to stop the bad treatment of Palestinian people.
A two state solution is the right thing to do all day every day. Those ever increasing settlements into PA territory was never a cool move by Israel IMO.
