The Republicans their media as well as Trump have for years fed their supporters conspiracy theories that have made them feel victimized and that the opposing side is evil. Funny because the Right loves to say that the Left does this, but in fact they have been doing it in steroids compared to the Left.
They have fed the monster and now the monster is eating them and they have no idea how to handle it. Most are trying to ride the monster and that won’t end well.
Right now they are attacking their own even more than the Democrats.
Their current targets are Republican Governors like Kemp and Doucy. Congressional Representatives like Liz Cheney and Kinzinger , Senators like Romney and Sasse.
You must be 100% for the Cult and its leader and espouse all the crazy controversies they believe in or you become a RINO

In many red areas, sane/moderate people have been leaving the GOP in droves. So much of what's left are extremists who want to vote for the same. They gang up on politicians who are centrist and like the GOP of old, to where they don't stand a chance. Therefore the GOP is pretty much dead, and now we have the trumplican party. Which will destroy itself and implode soon enough, just like their messiah did.
