1,000 times more COVID-19 cases in New York than North Dakota.

11,252 cases reported today in NY

11 cases in North Dakota

Wow, what is the deal with New York. I have noticed that they are struggling, struggling and struggling more with COVID-19.

North Dakota lifted the mask mandates a while ago and the COVID-19 cases continue to collapse.

New York: 11,252 cases per day per 19,450,000 population is a rate of 0.579% (with mask mandate and with draconian measures)

North Dakota: 11 cases per day per 762,062 population is a rate of 0.00144% (without mask mandate and with suggested common sense measures)

There you go. Happy? It's now in percent form. Comparing rates, New York cases are just over 400 times higher than North Dakota. (those are RATES, not RAW numbers)

Any further questions? Care to continue arguing about how effective masks are?

New York’s population density is 40x North Dakota. Both states has completely different lifestyles and to add, NY has millions of tourists.

Luckily, with the internet everyone can have the same experiences whether in NYC or North Dakota.

Thanks to things like teleconferencing, there is no benefit to population density anymore.

Rural States had waves of COVID-19 but they lasted a month, with NYC it's been 6-8 months out of the last 11 months that have had high numbers of COVID-19 cases.

Seems like with pandemics every where is impacted sooner then later but small states have much more time to plan for it once they end up in the country and the surge lasts about a month in rural areas compared to much longer times in states with large populations and many large, dense cities.

Density just means pathogens, diseases, viruses and stress.

A vast majority of jobs can be done whether in Bismack or Manhattan.

Yes, but the higher the population density, the quicker disease and virus can potentially spread.
New York and California are two of the most populous states, there for you would expect a higher infection rate.
