Former Defense Secretary James Mattis said Thursday the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol was “fomented” by former President Donald Trump, and exemplified the “internal threats” faced by the U.S. that should be viewed “with every bit as much gravity as the external problems, and perhaps more so.”
Quote:
Noting that “our oath to the Constitution requires us to defend it against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” Vickers, a former Special Forces officer, said that “never in our worst nightmares did we imagine that we would witness an insurrection against our government incited by some of our top leaders.”

Yup.
Think of foam, not form.
The foaming of a hot boiling cauldron. Fomenting. Exciting people into violence.

If you get to the rank of General in the Military, you stop being a soldier (not technically) and start becoming just another politician. Why listen to politicians talking about politics?

LOL. Once upon a time the guy was one of Trump's "best people".

Funny how this has happened over and over. Trump's "best people" become enemies or Trump supporters.

I am guessing just another Phonycon. Yup, really angry at Trump, because he did not
start another senseless war that so many Phonycons just drool over.

Political hit job. Mattis gets paid to carry water for the establishment now.

Both Republican and Democratic establishments dislike Trump, so they trot Mattis out to take potshots at Trump.

But what the establishment doesn’t realize is that Mattis isn’t as popular to Trump supporters like he once was. They see him as a disloyal hack.

So his words won’t move the needle at all. The people who agree with him already hate Trump.

Does not alter the truth about Generals being politicians. Now, if the guy was talking about the War that Joe is starting in the Middle East, I would listen to what he has to say.
