This is what we mean when we say "coming for our guns."
It doesn't matter if you can't have one because they'll physically take it from you or because it's prohibitively expensive to own. Either way, the government has artificially altered the legal environment in a way that precludes you from exercising your Constitutional right.
I never, ever want to see you making comments about concerns over gun confiscation again. You gave up the right to make those kinds of comments when you openly stated that it's your goal.
Bingo. They reveal their intentions in plain sight all the time and then say "No one is coming for your pea shooter."
The logic of people who wish for their government to disarm them is a mystery even to the great scholars.
The founding fathers would call them sheep waiting for slaughter.
So, people are breaking the law, by purchasing firearms in Vermont and selling them out side of the state. This is known, because they are have been traced back.
And more laws / restrictions are going to help how ?
I live in MI, I have to live with it's laws, that doesn't mean if I had the opportunity to vote against it I wouldn't. And I've still not seen a clear case of registration lowering firearms violence.
Bc we don't know who in VT is selling these guns. We know they come from there, but unless we plug the hole, those people will continue selling their guns to whoever they want.
If you're selling something on a black market, and you know they can't trace the gun back to you, what incentive do you have to stop? None. You'll keep doing it as long as they can't connect the gun to you.
I have zero concerns over gun confiscation if they are illegal firearms. And yes, the goal is to make it so difficult to own a gun through taxation, restrictions, barriers, etc. that they become de facto banned. I'm not sure what you're so surprised by, that's very clearly the goal here.
You don’t need a car that drives 300 mi per hour on the roads. Don’t need a swimming pool in the front yard, don’t need to be walking naked on the main streets - lots of things the people and govt determine you don’t need.
to quote a line from a movie that fits perfectly
according to the liberals plan, I'm the enemy. Cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech and freedom of choice. I'm the kind if guy who wants to sit in a greasy spoon and think, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecued ribs with the side order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol. I want to eat bacon, butter and buckets of cheese, okay? I want to smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in a non-smoking section. I wanna run through the streets naked with green Jello all over my body reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly might feel the need to. Okay, pal? I've seen the future, you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sittin' around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake singing "I'm an Oscar-Meyer Wiener". ….liberals are about anti-freedom
And the overwhelming majority of firearms owners don't kill people.....
