We are going to have the mother of all supreme court cases on this, and thankfully with Amy Comey Barnett on the bench we won't have to worry about spineless Judge Roberts bending over for the communists
That idiot is clueless. All anyone has to do is put on the form, sold out of State, doesn't match your records and return it.

Gibberish -
The Grand Conspiracy that did away with the intent of the original 2nd was almost all right wing gun proponents scared that the true 2nd would be repealed in the present day. The citizenry would not have allowed the use of heavy arms by gangs and groups which would of course had been and would be allowed by the original intent of the 2nd.

Usually I'd be in full agreement, but gun sales have been through the roof over the past year without any help from the Democratic party, so much so that often shelves are empty in local gun stores, as well as no ammo to be found.

They don't currently need the boost.

Instant felons will be created given the historical record of gun sales in the last 8 years, much of the purchases by women.

True science deniers who refuse to address the problem of violence attempt feel good actions which will never ever end or even reduce violence except in academic theory. Theory which ignores reality and perspective.

the danger comes from the belief by the people that communist style gun confiscation will never happen in these days of enlightenment and awareness of past tragedies and inhumanity seen in the era preceding and during of WW2.

Since the latest shooting involved a ring door camera, it wouild make sense for all doorbell surveillance cameras to be banned from private ownership.

just how and who is going to disarm the gangs and criminals who reject the latest gun laws????? Without that action, the violence will continue.

If you like your guns you can keep your guns..... but can you afford to keep your guns , can you tolerate the hoops you must jump through to keep your guns, can you afford the tax and insurance on guns and ammo on top of the tax on guns and ammo? Can you afford a lawyer and remortgage your house to defend yourself in court conducted by activist prosecutors and judges???

No we aren't going to take your guns away! We will just nibble at you until private gun ownership is too heavy a burden to support.

Gangs and career criminals please ignore the concerns. Be assured the socialists want to make your job safer.

Well, one good thing is that all States don't have baloney registrations and paper trails. Since I can any day of the week sell all the parts off a gun but the receiver and it's up to the ATF to prove I still have it. 80% receivers are real cheap now. In most States people can sell a firearm to another person cash and carry.

Yes indeed! There is NOTHING they can to stop private sales!

Plus, anyone with machining skills or access to machining tools, can MAKE ANY gun they like, whenever they like...its even possible to make a 'Mini gun' if you wanted to, (as long as you didnt attempt to produce and sell them, it would be totally legal).

Certainly not true everywhere.

If fewer deaths are the goal, and that goal justifies something as serious as denying a constitutional right, then here's a list of other things which you must also support, if you're going to be consistent in your logic.

1. The outright ban of all swimming pools, except those necessary for medical reasons, and those can only be as large and deep as needed for that specific medical issue.

2. National speed limit of 25-30mph.

3. Ban all knives, except those required for food preparation, and each knife must be serialized, registered and insured. Pointy knives would require a $200 tax stamp and a thorough background check.

4. Outright ban on all aircraft heavier than 1lb.

5. No more ladders. All work being done at height must be done using a scissor lift or cherry picker, and no less than two safety straps must be used at all times, without exception. An exception to the machinery requirement can be made for roofers, but they must use a 3rd safety strap.

You see how ridiculous this can get. This is YOUR logic. "If it can save just one life" is rarely a sufficient justification for whatever the person saying it is trying to push. It's an emotional tactic that's effective because nobody wants to be labeled as uncaring.
Except your entire point is nonsense b/c a registry is not denying you access to firearms. You've concocted some BS fear about a registry being used in the future for nefarious purposes. Sorry but your panic attacks & conspiracy theories are not evidence of constitutional rights being violated.

Not the same thing as registering guns at all.

Because you only have to register and insure a car if you want to drive it on public roads.
I don't understand why you guys think this is some kind of gotcha, especially when this only applies to <5% of vehicles. 95% of vehicles are registered.

So if you want a carve out to allow unregistered guns? Fine... you can have an unregistered gun if the all moving pieces are permanently removed, blocked, or filed down. Now you have a show weapon that you can bring around to festivals.
