Some of the Senators and Representatives who are making a spectacle out of opposing impeachment have their eyes on running in 2024 and do not want to alienate Trump’s base.
If they really supported Trump they would have delivered a clean stimulus bill that Trump asked for, in October. Trump’s own party chose to ignore an action that would have had a favorable impact on re-election.
Having failed to do that, they could have supported Trump’s call for another clean bill for a $2000 stimulus in December. That too, was ignored.
I am increasingly inclined to believe it was Trump’s own party that was done with Trump.
I find it weird too. C'mon man, it is like saying Cam keeps throwing interceptions because he is done with Belichick. That $2000 makes me think the problem is Mitch only.
Pence and Mother are currently vacationing in the Virgin Islands but their actual location is being kept secret. So he's still worried about Trump's crazy violent lunatics coming to get him.
Trump still has a lot of power. People seem to like someone like him who hollers and threatens, calls people names, acts like a jerk. That's why most of the people who worked for him and can't stand him usually come crawling back. Can you imagine Ted Cruz even crawled back even after Trump said his father helped assassinate JFK?
I wish we could see the return of a president who acts presidential instead of a loud mouthed lunatic who is ringmaster for a three ring circus.
Trump won’t get impeached, 45 Senators have already voted that there shouldn’t even be a trial.
This is just more useless Democratic petty spite so they can feel better about themselves. What a bunch of miserable people, I’m so glad I don’t think like them.
