The narrative by the media has been that protestors / rioters on the 6th were attempting a coup at the Capital. Of course, anyone with a brain and being HONEST knows this isn't the case. What some did there that day was wrong, but a coup attempt it was not. However, you will never convince the Democrat Ministry of Truth otherwise, but I thought I would try.

Sometimes, we can learn from what happens in other countries. There was a real coup that happened in Myanmar over the weekend. The military with real guns and training took over the country and are holding several people hostage, including the elected president. This is of course what a real coup looks like. Guns, force, people taken hostage, government taken over. New leadership in place. The riot on the 6th looks nothing like this. Read and learn...you are welcome!

Splitting hairs according to personal views. A successful coup vs a failed one.... A coup lead by military vs one lead by citizens.

If the coup was successful here in the US, then its a coup. If it failed, it was just a protest. hmmm...

I say this as a person that is still on the fence regarding the events of that day. However, people were killed, political officials were threatened, and official business was disrupted. There has to be ramifications.

Just because the paramilitary fools and other assorted idiots, were just that idiots, doesn't lessen the fact that what the fools attempted was a coup; an undemocratic attempt to seize power by force from the parties those who won a democratic election!

Actually we could use a economic term, irrational exuberance , with a little adjustment, from Alan Greenspan !!!

Hardly a coup or serious insurrection !!!

Here is a link to a single event that happened during a serious insurrection and we haven't seen anything close to it on Jan 6 2020 !!! Anyone doubt the Tet offensive, as it was call, was a serious attempt at insurrection by civilians ?

The execution of the Vietcong fighter, Nguyen Van Lem, doesn't help your argument. It actually reinforces the idea that 1/6th was a real coup.

Nguyen Ngoc Loan, the person who carried out the execution, was the National Police Chief of South Vietnam.

There have been plenty of of bloodless coups.... and 1/6th was certainly not bloodless.

Oh, no one said Trump's coup bunch was any good at it, if that's what you're arguing.

It's a little disingenuous to say it wasn't a coup attempt because they sucked at it.

Democrats are a funny bunch. Instead of providing real proof of a coup the narrative is now "they were really bad at it". ROFLMAO! I'll give you all credit for your creativity. Next time I need a screenplay written, I'll know who to get in touch with. lol.

Your opinion is only an argument and doesn't make it true !!!

No captured criminals were executed on 1-6 !!! On the level of seriousness 1-6 wouldn't make a blip on the radar !!!

ok... The premise of this thread is an "opinion" based on comparisons of two events.

You put up another event for discussion.... If you don't want to discuss, don't put it on the table.
