The Democratic Party defended slavery, started the Civil War, opposed Reconstruction,
founded the Ku Klux Klan, imposed segregation, perpetrated lynchings, and fought against
the civil rights acts of the 1950s and 1960s.
This is who the Republicans picked up with their southern strategy, it shows support for George Wallace by county during the 1968 election. This is when the south divorced itself from the DNC and the GOP picked up a bunch racists rednecks.

No one can argue that acting like Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh and Marjorie Greene is lucrative. With that kind of money motivator, it's difficult to tell which of those believe what they're saying, and which know they're lying for the money. My bet is only Limbaugh, and possible Hawley, know they're pandering to idiots for cash.
