Its very simple .... our entire society has collectively agreed to behave like 5 year olds, requiring adults to use one letter references to words we are not allowed to say.
Of course, when it comes to the “N” word, this requirement does not apply to black people, because when they say it, its a slang term, not a slur. By the same token, gay people are free to use the “F” word, but straight people better not.
When society advances to the point that we successfully eliminate every word that might offend someone, we will have achieved that utopian dream ... each of us relegated to primordial grunts and groans to communicate, like cavemen.

Total Loss of all freedom doesn’t happen in one fell swoop. It happens gradually, one freedom at a time, and one tiny step at a time, as we allow ourselves to be conditioned and trained to not just accept the losses .... but to actually demand it, and enthusiastically celebrate it.
The freedom of speech is one of the most critical freedoms we have, and no freedom has been more under attack. The truth is, words only have the power we agree to grant them. Frankly, a well grounded person would better serve themselves by not allowing words uttered from another person to affect them. To allow a stranger to control your emotions by the mere utterance of a single word, places them in total control of you. Better that we reclaim our power by not agreeing to grant words and strangers such power over us.
Then, we can all get back to thinking, behaving and talking like adults, rather than children.
I watched the video released by TMZ and it appeared that someone was secretly filming him as he was going into his house after a drunk night out with friends. He jokingly calls his white friend the N word. I think the N word is a ridiculously stupid word to call anyone, it just sounds trashy and gross, but my have we given this word a lot of power.
I have had issues lately with people being caught on tape when they didn't know they were being filmed and being embarrassed but this just seems a bit much. This guys career is going to be ruined over a drunk night out where he merely used a word that is used all the time in music and we read about it every day.
We live in a culture of high racial sensitivity. It is actually nothing new. There was an incident in 1972 involving Howard Cosell doing Monday Night Football. A black football player was sprinting to the endzone and Cosell sang-out, "Look at that little monkey run!" It got Cosell in all kinds of trouble. Oddly, I had an uncle who used to good-naturedly call me "little monkey" when I was a kid. I am as white as the driven snow. It is sometimes necessary to punish minimal wrongdoings for the sake of limiting the animosity between two cultures co-existing in the same geographic area.
And the left ignores their own racism, excuses it, or redefines it. We've noticed.
