Did Trump say to open schools when it's found safe to do so? Nope. The schools are going to re-open at some point. That doesn't lend any weight to the preferences of a profoundly ignorant ex-President.
Trump already knew that it was safe. He was president not that long ago.
Most people knew it was safe...but there was a political battle to be fought first.
Kids simply don't get sick from the virus. We've known this as far back as last Spring and Summer.

Yes actually he did, starting way back in July when it had become apparent that school-age kids were not spread vectors for this virus and we had sufficient information from countries that didn't close their schools down that schools were not a significant contributor to the spread. But since the Bad Orange Man™ said it, it MUST. BE. WRONG regardless of the academic, social, and psychological toll it's taking on our kids to keep them shut away from each other and the school-sponsored activities that enrich their lives.
Lo and behold, once Trump leaves office, NOW suddenly it turns out he was right. But let's just ignore he ever said anything about re-opening the schools because we don't want to confront the cognitive dissonance that would cause.
No one really cares about these children and their education. Not the teachers, the unions or the democratic leadership.
They are simply used to line pockets. It is shameful .
