Flights can be gradually re-opened once enough vaccines are administered.
There's never actually been any complete ban on flights coming into the country. How do you think the new strains have arrived? A very powerful sneeze across the ocean?
Even where there were restrictions you could still travel with the appropriate quarantines and testing.
Trump tried lifting some restrictions on flights to be put into action after he left office, only for Biden to immediately reinstate them, as if Biden wouldn't notice. LOL.
Then Biden should make clear no illegal immigrants and make sure the borders are secure and closed, Trump did stop flights in bad Pelosi, Schumer and even Biden accused him of being racist, they encouraged people to get out in New York and L.A. visit Chinatown, plays, go to dinner, ride the subway, go to the st. Patrick parades, yeah they believe in science :rolleyes hypocrites.
Such as stopping folks from other countries coming in the the US and getting called a xenophobe for doing so?

Our neighbors kid got it but was asymptomatic. He mother got sick and thought she was protecting her daughter by sending her to her father's house. All but one in that house got sick. She was only in school for about two weeks last fall and only for two days a week before she caught it and spread it around. Her cousin got it not once, but twice.
Ever hear of MIS-C in children?

There has to be strict guidelines and adequate PPE in place before schools can open up safely. Some areas are safer than others. Schools in hot zones should not reopen.
My college shorties are tested and must be negative in order to come to class. Masks are mandatory as is social distancing.
Doing this with grade school kids. Much harder.
Biden has only been in office for a few weeks. The new CDC director is just getting up to speed. I have confidence that they will have a good plan for schools to reopen. The fact that vaccines are already going in arms is yet another step closer to reopening schools the right way, not under some deranged president that only cared about covering up and getting reelected.

I live in Los Angeles. LA County is still in purple tier which is the highest tier for covid infection.
LA County leadership/politicians want to sue LA Unified School District (second largest school district in America) because LAUSD refuses to reopen school for in-person learning.

A month later, opening schools is now a stroke of brilliance, orchestrated by God-like Dems. Seriously? You need to take you own advice: "Give it up. Trump is Gone". Stop obsessing on the man. I know it makes you angry that it's turning out that he was right about many things - things that were obvious to anyone not afflicted by TDS. Vaccines were already getting ready before Biden was elected, as far as the CDC director, thought they already had a plan, so far I haven’t seen any big changes that isn’t already being done. If Biden is serious about allowing the illegals in, do they have plans to test them first? Should they get vaccinated before American citizens?
