Who pulled $15/hr..... more than doubling the current minimum wage, out of their ass?

From it's inception if min. wage kept up with productivity, it would be around $24/hr. If it kept up with inflation, it would be around $12/hr, so the $15/hr proposed is a conservative compromise.

Except only 2% of US workers make the federal minimum wage and half are under 25 years old. Leave this up to state and local governments where it belongs. A key thing to remember is the real minimum wage is always 0.

Why should someone who has no experience, no skills whatsoever that are necessary to do a job be paid $30k+ per year?
Maybe because COL isn't the same as it was in 1935.....
