Because they (potentially) committed a crime. You think you should not turn in a criminal?
Good God, by your logic your neighbor is obligated to turn you in if you "potentially committed a crime" by running a red light or turning in a library book a week late.
1984 all over again. I darn sure wouldn't want to be your neighbor, or friend.
If they were one of those that stormed into the capital, not just attending the rally, by that logic all blm demonstrators should be arrested as well.
As mentioned on other threads, at least 10,000 demonstrators who crossed the line into criminal behavior during the summer's civil unrest (not all BLM affiliated by the way) have been arrested.
I don't understand why cons think pleading ignorance about Qanon is somehow a good thing. It just shows that you are not keeping up with current events.
And it's even more hilarious when every single person who claims "they never heard of Q" is capable of telling us what Hunter Biden had for breakfast this morning.
Read the article. The author never accused her neighbors of being Nazis or Nazi sympathizers. It describes a conundrum many of us find ourselves in.
I'm a liberal who detested Donald Trump. I have many conservative friends, some of whom loved Donald Trump. We didn't stop being friends, but we learned to avoid certain topics in our conversations. Admittedly it is uncomfortable sometimes, but I still like and respect these people.
If I were the author, I would absolutely bring a plate of cookies over to the neighbors. It's important to show them that no, we don't think "Trumpites" are monsters and, guess what, we're not monsters either. That's the first step to reconciliation.
You didn’t read the whole story... it’s on the following page.

The “progressives” have always been the ones intolerant of views that don’t match their own. Even as far back as the 80s, there was a study shown that almost all Republicans were willing to date Democrats but a large percentage of Democrats were unwilling to date Republicans.
I hardly consider that intolerant. I am a democrat with many friends who are republicans. I simply do not discuss politics with them and change the subject if/when they steer it in that direction. I would not however, want to be in a relationship with someone whose values are so opposite mine. I don’t think my partner and I have to have the same perspective on everything but, there is not a single policy I can think of in which I agree with republicans. To enter into a romantic relationship with someone whose values are so opposite my own is not realistic. I want my partner to share core morals and values with me. That does not preclude friendships with others who don’t share my values. Our friendships may be based on shared hobbies, interests.
I have the same thing with my neighbors. They put up big Biden signs - front yard AND back - saying that truth won over lies. It’s obnoxious.
And I have a neighbor who has hung our American flag upside down after the election. His property, his right but really, what is the point? I think any political signs these days is simply a way to alienate neighbors. Maybe that’s the point?
