Why do people care so much about their neighbors. The only thing that we have in common is a street section.
I don't know their politics and I don't care either. In fact, I try to avoid making eye contact because you should never make a neighbor think that you are approachable and friendly. It opens the door to the neighbor complaint department which want no part of. F neighbors.
I once thought the same way as you. We just moved from a starter home in a lower middle class area in Metro Detroit, to an upscale area roughly 40 miles away. We were in that home for over 20 years, and I know the names of two of our neighbors. Now, in this new area, everyone is much more friendly, and it is a well knit community. I never thought I'd say this but it is much better living in a "community" than what we did live it. To each their own though.
It's far-right-wingers who spend more on Chinese-made goods while the rest of us are avoiding Chinese products as much as possible and trying to rebuild the American economy with new American industries that will provide a better standard of living for all Americans.
Barf. What a load of garbage. You must be a blue-check elitist enjoying the bubble life.
Well, Greg Gutfeld of Fox News has declared Hefferman's article as Worst Article of 2021 (even though he admits that it's only February), and it was the subject of a panel discussion.
if that's all they had to do in order to win, why did they do so much more than that?
There was no love lost between media and Trump even before he was president.
They were attacking him the whole campaign and he slung mud as much as he got.
Once he was president he doubled down and the media had a point to prove now. A vengeful vindictive point to show him who has the real power. Trump has no nuance so he played right into their hands.

I grew up in a neighborhood where our neighbors were considered extended family. I have fond memories of the people I grew up with who surrounded our house. Then when I bought my first house we got along splendidly with all of our neighbors even had parties in our backyard with them. Then I moved to another town and started meeting the complaint departments. The things that have been said to me by a few neighbors has absolutely turned me off and I will never be friendly to a neighbor ever again.
The media always want socialized medicine because reporters who submit stories to wire services must be classed as independent contractors rather than employees. So these reporters do not get employee benefits like health insurance.
And the "journalism" schools tell their pupils to favor liberalism instead of teaching that journalism means unbiased reporting.
These "journalists" believe that wealth comes from government spending because the Democrats say so. So they believe the massive spending for the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and Free Tuition can actually happen. The problem is that wealth comes from doing productive work, not from government. So the massive spending will just cause hyperinflation.
