"Rules for thee, but not for me"?

Why is this not surprising for the Democrats? They won, after all.

House Republicans Refer Speaker Pelosi to Sergeant at Arms for Violating Her Own House Rules, May Be Punished

On Friday evening, a group of Republicans sent a letter to the Sergeant at Arms, stating that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi broke her own rules when she walked around the metal detectors before making her way to the House floor.

The letter was sent by Republican Reps. Rodney Davis, Barry Loudermilk, and Bryan Steil to Timothy P. Blodgett, recommending that Pelosi be fined $5000 for breaking her own rules.

“It also directs you to promptly notify in writing of fines being imposed for violations of House Resolution 73. Yesterday, at approximately 9:59 am, multiple members observed the Speaker of the House entering the House Chamber without completing security screening. What was observed was a clear violation of House Resolution 73 and you are required by House Rules to impose this fine. Please inform us once the fine has been assessed,” the letter finished.

Pelosi has demonstrated repeatedly that she considers herself above the rules.

She should set a good example by following the rules, and by gracefully accepting the penalty if she broke them.

She's the same one who was getting her hair done at the salon when California mandated shut down orders for the state. This is par for the course for liberals.

Why should she have to follow the rules? The mainstream media largely had her back when she violated the Covid lockdown rules in San Francisco by going to get beautified at a place that was suppose to be shut down and then not wearing a mask. The mainstream propaganda media spent more time attacking whoever filmed her. Pelosi was sorry that she was caught.

Rules are for us plebes.

Meanwhile, Republicans who have repeatedly violated the metal detector rule are challenging it in court, claiming it's unconstitutional. Make up your minds.
