Well yes because CD is full of posters who are fit and trim and look the same as the day they graduated HS, they never eat fast food or junk food, they cook their own healthy organic meals at home from scratch.

Lots of people use box mixes, prepackaged and premade foods. There is no shame in that. Its called modern conveniences. If we had to prepare meals like our grannies, we would all starve.

They did the same thing with Land “O” Lakes butter... Removed the drawing of a Native American woman from their logo, which IMHO, was stupid since it wasn’t offensive. This goes to both Uncle Ben’s rice and Aunt Jemima products, who updated their images years ago for a more contemporary look, which I thought was respectful compared to the images from the 1950s.

I can’t make the connection between rice and syrup products directly to Socialism, but it’s simply an act to satisfy the “woke” and “SJW” crowd.

Will I stop buying these products? I don’t know, but I’m not a fan appeasement either. If I see a familiar brand item, at a fair price, I’d probably pick them over uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima products, that I’ve know for over 50 years.

Why should I search online to find out how people I don't know are offended by something that doesn't impact them? This is dumb collectivist victim-think. What happened to "don't like the show, change the channel" or the elegantly simple "mind your own business"?

My advice to the self-appointed avengers of hurt feelings - Stop fixating on other peoples' grievances. How boring is your life? How weak do you think they are? How righteous does fighting a syrup grievance make you feel?

Yes and so can the whiners. Just drop the black lady's syrup and walk away. There are far more psychologically rending offenses you can find to battle in the supermarket like plastic wrapped animal murder or Ho-Ho's or ChungKing noodles ... racist name btw.

I don't see what's inherently racist about Aunt Jemima or the Land 'O' Lakes Native American image. They were both images of products we believed in and trusted (or had no feelings about whatsoever.) Most of us probably didn't associate either with any negative undertones at all; only brand recognition. I work with Native Americans in Alaska and when the Washington Redskins owner said they were renouncing the Redskins name, my patients made fun of the idea. They thought it was ridiculous. One of the older ladies asked me, "What will they call themselves? Washington?" Um, well, If even the persecuted group thinks political correctness has gone overboard, maybe they're right.

We already stopped using Aunt Jemima, when we discovered the real Maple Syrup at Costco. Still, this is a really bad move for the company, not only will they lose the anti-political-correctness folks, but casual buyers not recognizing the name will pick up Log Cabin, Mrs. Butterworth's or Hungry Jack, names they recognize.
Changing a name after 130 years of customer loyalty makes no economic sense.

Seriously...make them from scratch! It's not that hard...and if you use whole wheat pastry flour, like I do, it's healthier, and you don't have to worry about who's being exploited on the label.
I like the name maybe you should Trademark it but when I am making pancakes and covering them in syrup, butter and sometimes powdered sugar healthiness is not on my mind.

Instructional teaching moment but it requires some self awareness. Falls under the heading of "You might be an idiot if the people you've aligned yourself with think you're an idiot"

Also in this category "Baizuo" - Chinese term of mockery for American progressive kiddies. Espouse Marxism ... get ridiculed by the CCP.

I assume you have the same feelings toward people who are "outraged" at a private company changing their name and logo?

I think they want us to think of Pearl Bailey. I'm still calling BS on it.

Who's outraged? Not aware of any Twitter mob threatening to cancel Quaker over this. It's just bit****g. Conservatives b****, leftists threaten and purge.
