At the time she was on the ground nobody knew why.
What does that matter when you're talking about them trampling over her?
Your trampling narrative has fallen apart and so you move the goalposts to make a useless point about them not knowing why she was on the ground when they "trampled" over her.
... anyone who supports breaking and entering into the Capitol to attempt to stop the Vice President from performing his duty really shouldn't use the word "brainwashed".
Or brain dead.
These people are a joke, twisting themselves into pretzels to justify an uprising against our government and the forcing of a de-certification through intimidation on the one hand and pretending it was not really an uprising on the other ... I am embarrassed for them.

“ white Supremacist insurrection” is in the Congressional Record regarding the attempt to impeach the POTUS.
A lie.
“ a Capitol Police Officer killed when hit by a fire extinguisher by rioters “
A lie.
“ an uprising’
Without firearms , no F 15’s , and there were open doors in many cases .
“ intimidation”
Secret Police, only releasing drips and drabs of information, shielding the majority of information from the public.
Obviously, the lawsuit would be about wrongful death. I do know how it works because I worked in a law office that intended to sue a federal officer for wrongly causing our client harm. As I said, IF the shooter was a federal officer, the legal team would have to sue under the Federal Tort Claims Act, which requires they sue the U.S., not the individual.
Clearly everyone else on this post has much more experience suing federal officers. You should bow to their vast knowledge on the subject. One case? Hmfff. They've been served as counsel on dozens. You could learn a thing or 2 or 3 from these folks

I don't care if you worked in a law office, as you 'claim', or if you worked in a Holiday Inn, all I'm saying is that maybe you should do your research to find out exactly what they are suing for and who they are suing.

Why can't they just sue the officer in an individual capacity, he's the Tortfeasor. Private citizen or federal officer, does not matter. Or are you saying it does?
Gonna have to disagree with you on the non-threatening part. A mob conducting a B&E in progress was about to force their way through that door against a lone officer.
You were told it was a lone officer.. no, he was not alone at all. The media lied to you.
