According to the US Constitution, the President MUST address the nation during either January or February per invitation from the Speaker of the House. Nancy has not sent any such request.

The only person that will be addressing the nation in any formal fashion will be Donald J. Trump, the 16th/45th President of the USA, on February 28th and everyone will be listening.

Maybe you should break out your copy of the Constitution and take another look. It says he should inform Congress on the state of the union "from time to time". Nothing in there about January or February. It doesn't even say it has to be done every year.

Where in the constitution do you think it says a state of the union must be in January or February?

Guess what? Trump didn't address the nation after he took office either. And neither did any other president.

Here is a list of State of the Union addresses:
https://history.house.gov/Institution/SOTU/List/

Donald Trump's first one was January 30, 2018 - a WHOLE YEAR after he took office!

Good God what an ignorant thread!

It should also be noted that between John Adams on November 22, 1800 and Woodrow Wilson on December 2, 1913, there were no State of the Union addresses at all!

113 years!

Rumor has it some right wing nut jobs are planning to blow up the building, so presumably security will be the first priority in any event.
