Will they simply create things to save people from when they run out?
It's not "Democrats" per se - it's the social justice wing of the left which is out of control and whose fealty to 'social justice' is nothing short of a cult.
Do democrats always need something to save people from?

All political parties do this to varying extents, all around the world. Its just that here in the USA, the Democrats have made an art form of it, especially since the Civil War. What is especially dangerous is the Democrats have turned to racial identity politics that theoretically one day could tear the nation apart.

That is a good point but until the mainstream Democrats start standing up the extremists, you are going to have to understand that people are going to blame the Democratic Party as a whole.
Part of the problem for both parties is the party primary system where most people don't vote but the extremists/wackos still come out and take control. More moderate politicians are afraid to stand up to the extremists because they could be targeted next to take out, not in the general election but in the primary.
Democrats continually throw $$$ and entitlements at people to gain control and power over the people. They NEVER find a solution to a problem.
Do Republicans have solutions for anything other than more handouts to billionaires and more Jesus in the classroom? Democrats at least have a platform that is more than just being anti-liberal.

HAHAHA! A platform? Other than signing EO for ANYTHING Trump did. What is their platform? Having taxpayer funded paying off student loans instead of reducing the cost of college? Stimulus checks that don't solve unemployment? Canceling the pipeline and climate change which put thousands out of work? Dependency on foreign oil again? Saving a planet that other countries continue to destroy? Medicare for All, which is terrible insurance, and will not only put thousands of insurance workers out of work but you will still need a supplement? Increased taxes so the American people can pay for what a party determines we need?
PS I didn't vote for either candidate, I voted for my dog
"To say that "our society creates poverty" is breathtakingly ignorant. In 1776, the U.S. was among the world's poorest nations. In less than two centuries, we became the world's richest nation by a long shot. Americans who today are deemed poor by Census Bureau definitions have more material goods than middle-class people as recently as 60 years ago. Dr. Robert Rector and Rachel Sheffield give us insights in "Understanding Poverty in the United States: Surprising Facts About America's Poor" (9/13/2011). Eighty percent of poor households have air conditioning. Nearly three-fourths have a car or truck, and 31 percent have two or more. Two-thirds have cable or satellite TV. Half have one or more computers. Forty-two percent own their homes. The average poor American has more living space than the typical non-poor person in Sweden, France or the U.K. Ninety-six percent of poor parents stated that their children were never hungry during the year because they couldn't afford food. How do these facts square with the statement that "our society creates poverty"? To the contrary, our society has done the best with poverty."
When a bleeding heart brings up the supposed poverty they care about, it usually done out of ignorance.
Even worse, their policies that are supposed to help the poor just end up in the pockets of progressive politicians and creating even more poverty - see California-.
Here's a great way to stop poverty, keep Democrats out of my pockets.
Responses like this always confuse me. That 80% of people in poverty have a car is not a meaningful statistic. The US has terrible public transportation. Owning a car is necessity for most. Same with a computer. We have millions upon millions who make the choice between health care and rent. We have little protections for workers. It sounds like your counter argument to what I said is "our poor could have it worse, so we don't need to help them". That is just an odd view to me. No one here said "our society creates poverty". We said "there is always more we can do to help people". Do you disagree with that statement?
Hell, they even fought Civil Rights Bills.....twice!
