The interview was published in Politico today, it’s the culmination of 6 months of interviews. The last interview was on January 12, 2021. It took a month for Politico to decide that today ( during the Farce Impeachment) was the perfect time to release the article.

Lindsay and Haley are both driven by Leftist Media. They are both Establishment Republicans who care more about their careers than they do those who elect them.
They are both Terrified by Media.

True, but the wind she will face is a hurricane. She has fallen of her tightrope.

Pretty sure those conditions aren't going to exist going forward.
Okay. Let's assume the next republican candidate gets all of those votes. Joe Biden received 81 million votes and then some. You still have quite a deficit to overcome to win an election.

You still are going to have to do something to get at least seven million voters back on the republican side, or you are going to lose. What measures do you suggest to make the GOP palatable enough again that these voters will see things your way?

Trump supporters are convinced Trump should head the party. Traditional republicans knows he is a fool but are afraid to speak out do to backlash from Trump supporters. As long as this riff exist the Republican party will remain split and they will never when meaningful national election. The more they kiss that Trump ring the more they circle the drain. Nothing better than watching them eat their own.

You have to answer some why's.

Why did Trump get a historic 74 million votes and why did Biden get 81 million historic votes?

Was it because people honestly liked them or was it because people completely disliked the other guy? The why matters because fringe and independent voters matter more than ever now.

Trump is a man you either like or you completely hate. There really isn't a feeling of "Well he is ok, but I wish he was smoother." People either like him or loathe him. I have loathed the man since the 80's.

Biden. Biden failed to get elected when the dems ran more moderate candidates. They overlooked many of his issues simply because he wasn't Trump and they needed Trump defeated. Let's be honest if your average Republican did the grope and sniff routine the left would be all over them for it. If a republican told Biden's black kids at the pool story the media would have eaten them alive for it.

Harris is anything but personable or exciting. She has the personality of 80 grit sand paper. Unless she grows some Charm or the GOP runs another creep like Trump she's going no where.

This election was anything but the beginning of a trend, is was Americans voting against Biden and Trump, in other words voting against the GOP and the Democratic Party. Trump, maybe the most unlikeable human on the planet today. I certainly can think of no redeeming qualities.

Trying to save her political future, but it's good to see her speak up. Wish Pence would say something.

She didn't grow a spine -- she's full of political rhetoric.

She's not reverting to the 'he's crazy' mantra to suit her personal agenda.

Too late woman.

You are spot on. Any candidate that wants to be elected on a national level must kiss the ring of the Trump Crime family.

Do you judge Harris the same way?

First she believed Biden's accusers now she is his partner. Which is it?

Ill take Haley over about half of the GOP critters in office today and over at least half of the democrat critters.

Haley or Waters? Haley
Haley of Shiela Jackson Lee? No contest, Haley
Haley or Pelosi? Haley

Haley or Cruz? Haley
Haley or Grahm? Haley
Haley or Mitch? Haley

If a Republican wants to run for higher office, they'll need to separate themselves from DJT in some manner. Otherwise they look like they're under Trumpski's influence and lose the independent vote.

Well. They are in a tough spot. You can't win without Trump's loyal base. Those people demand absolute loyalty to the Trump family. They are in the majority. The problem is that those very same people scare the crap out independents and Democrats.
