The whole thing is crazy. On one hand, Biden is so concerned by the risk of COVID that he’s talking about restricting law-abiding people going to Florida; and on the other hand, he’s giving the go-ahead to bring in the swarm of people in Mexico, many of whom have COVID.
The liberals here talk a good game, as long as it doesn’t impact them. Just like my leftist neighbors, who defend illegal aliens as “decent people who just want a chance” while objecting to the house on the other side being rented out because “renters are a lower caliber.”
That statistic is worthless for this group because that number is people at the beginning of the asylum process.
The folks coming in now have already gone through several iterations of vetting and already made it thus far through the system. Those being allowed in now are those with the oldest asylum applications, per the news article.
They have already had some hearings and some investigations already occurred and they still qualify. Many others have already been disqualified by this point and aren't coming in because they already got disqualified. Those coming in now will have a much higher rate of qualification because they are already 3/4 through the qualification process and have still met the criteria.
We aren't dealing with brand new asylum seekers here, like that stat is for.
25,000 have proven to have been persecuted in their own countries? Since Biden is doing away with Trump's "wait in Mexico" policy the new bunch on their way won't be vetted they will just be allowed in to wait for their hearings.

I do personally believe there is a sprinkling of lack of research, racism and generally poor formal education and maybe low intelligence levels. The last point I can't be sure of.

What do you mean they won’t disappear? Liberals ascribe all sorts of responsible behavior to foreigners with fake asylum claims. Close to half of the law-breakers never show up for their hearing, disappearing into the country.
How come liberals defend foreigners who break our laws while calling Americans who did nothing wrong (other than vote for the candidate they didn’t like) white supremacists, racists, and terrorists?
Let’s say 10%. Why should we allow 2500 people into this country, with COVID, who have no right to be here with their fake asylum claims. All of a sudden you’re willing to put more Americans in danger of dying by COVID because.....it’s more important to let illegals in?
Let them continue to wait in Mexico. There is no advantage to US in waving them in, especially now with a pandemic and people out of work.
