My youngest son is a highschool English teacher in a well to do midwestern city. Last week, one of the black teachers has been put on "leave" after an accusation of "racism" by a white student. My son is a very fair, objective individual (and a conservative in a liberal field). He says that the black female teacher who has been accused of "racism" is an excellent, kind, and devoted teacher who is very well liked by teachers and students alike and that the accusation is absurd. However, the father of the accuser is a well to do liberal attorney who is a known political figure in the city.

The accusation of "racism" came from the teacher providing some additional help to three black students who had been out of school for Covid, and thus were behind the rest of the class. She did the same for white students who had previously been out for Covid. The accusing student is the daughter of well known liberal democrats, her father being well known locally for his political views.

The vicious blade of liberalism is indiscriminate and eventually cuts everyone. Accusations of sexism, racism, and other "crimes" have become the modern Salem Witch Trials. Those with evil intent can intimidate and create an atmosphere of fear in others by weaponizing the language and using political correctness as a means of advancing personal gain.

Liberalism is a religion of hate and its passages are designed to harm and intimidate, not enlighten or advance humanity. History will look at liberalism with the same contempt as other evil movements of the past which were used for the purpose of evil under the guise of "compassion" and "kindness".

All true. And to make matters worse, we are moving in a "guilty unless proven innocent" direction as well. All a malevolent someone needs to do is blurt out any "-ism" accusation to get another into hot water.

This is very similar to the days of the Inquisition under the Catholic church of the Middle Ages. If you read some of the history on that, the strategies and tactics are very, very similar. It's all about religious control--and modern liberalism is a radical religion just as surely as modern radical Islam is.

And aside from a few extreme moments, the Puritans were actually MORE tolerant of those not sharing their beliefs than modern liberals are. If you read some history on the Puritans (as I said, other than a few extreme moments), you'll find that they generally asked those who did not share their beliefs to leave town (the colony) rather than trying to destroy their lives. As a "non-believer," you were simply exiled, rather than cancelled from the face of the earth or have your family demonized and targeted. The modern liberal is more like the VERY extreme moments of the Puritans--the times they lost their minds, like during the Salem Witch Trials. But that was an exception for them, rather than the rule. For liberals, it is the rule rather than the exception.

Wait, a teacher was accused of racism b/c she devoted extra time, I presume, to students who had fallen behind due to COVID illness? I think we are missing something here. Where is the racism? Also, what does this have to do with liberalism?

The father demonizes while the son is fair and objective. I guess it could happen.
