Somebody should answer for the screw up because we cannot have this happen again. The Capital Police simply did not know what to do when the angry mob swarmed them. They should have closed the doors, not wave the protesters through for one.
Next time this happens it could very well be a group of armed isis terrorists.
We need answers and a plan to combat this from happening again.
Then again would it surprise anyone if Pelosi was complacent and purposely let it happen? We know that in the mob there were Democrats and paid agitators so nothing should surprise any of us.
Police have been told to stand down for protesters for months.
Why do you expect then to do any differently here?
Pelosi didn't inspire, assemble, or direct a mob to head to the Capitol to "fight like hell."
Nor is she in charge of security at the Capitol.
Nunes needs to answer for being an idiot.
Nunes isn't the brightest congressman but he is certainly one of the most partisan. He should want to know answers to everything including the Trump clan and Giuliani. I see where Roger Stone's entourage of proud boys took part in the invasion, the final report should prove interesting.
I wonder why the security was so light. I'm hearing conspiracy theories that the Dems let this happen so they could leverage it politically.
I don't think that story has any real legs, but you do have to look at why the security was so light considering how many people were on the campus grounds that day.
Since the old bat is in charge of that I'm sure this will somehow get swept under the rug.
Pelosi has a role to play as correctly stated in the link !!! It is reasonable to examine that role just as it is to examine everyone that plays a role on the issue !!!
"Nunes demands Pelosi answer for her role in lack of Capitol security"
No the House Speaker is not responsible for the day to day operations.
No the House Speaker is not responsible for the day to day operations.
There is no shortage of deflection from the obvious issues.
