Biden explained that President XI excuses his human rights violations as strategies to unify his country....and Biden says clearly there are cultural norm differences. But Biden said as an American President he has to speak out to those human rights violations.

Trump had no effect on China whatsoever. Under the Trump Administration the Chinese Economy still grew more than twice as fast as the American Economy. Our Trade Deficit with China also grew under the Trump Administration. Under the Trump Administration China essentially annexed Hong Kong. Trump talked all the time about his "great friend" President Xi.
It doesn't matter if we call out China on their human rights abuses. The Chinese do not care. The consider the situation with the Uighurs as a National Security Issue.
