But the conservatives on this forum told us that Biden was just going to be a puppet for the progressive wing, that AOC and Kamala Harris were really running the show. What happened?

People like her are soooo stupid, did they really expect any politician to wipe out student debt like that? It doesn't work that way and anyone with half a brain would have told you that uncle joe would easily renege on this particular issue.

Anyways, pay up! The government is not, and will never forgive student loans.

Not American's responsibility to forgive those who made poor choices in life of their own accord.

So some of these people ran up over $100K in student loans living the high life while going to graphic arts school. Why should the taxpayer have to pay for this?

I'm still paying for student loans myself, and am going to use most of my bonus I received to pay off a chunk (still have a huge amount left after but have plans to pay it off in a few years).

AOC Has Psychotic Meltdown After Biden Tells Her NO

President Joe Biden just delivered some very bad news to Democrats, especially the far-left wing of the party.

During a CNN town hall on Tuesday night, Biden said he would not eliminate $50,000 in student loan debt, shooting down a proposal that prominent Democrats introduced this month.

I fail to see how it's my responsibility to bail someone out that got a Psych or Poly-Sci degree and is now working at Starbucks.

Liberals had their chance to elect Bernie, but they were just too terrified of losing to Trump.

Welp, enjoy your 4-8 year moderate, radical left.

I read that he supported canceling $10,000, not that he promised it.

Advancement in society, and what improves the lives of Americans, are both things that are a matter of opinion/in the eye of the beholder.

A job doesn't pay what you would like, it pays what it is worth.

And he supported achieving this through Congress, which is the proper way to handle spending and make sure it sticks.

I've written elsewhere, I am OK with using a stimulus to forgive some loans, but it needs to come with larger reforms on the system to address the problem that got us here.

Best statement of the day. And highlights the problem today - everybody thinks they deserve something that others should pay for. And they want it now without having to work for it.
