The Washington times has facial recognition software that proves it.

From above link.

- "With school canceled for the week, our girls asked to take a trip with friends. Wanting to be a good dad, I flew down with them last night and am flying back this afternoon," Mr. Cruz said, adding that, like millions of other Texans, his family had lost heat and power.

****( Time for Mr Cruz to do a mirror-check of his own double-standard and forked-tongue)....
School wasn't cancelled. Texas schools are on winter break this week. I'm guessing the trip has been planned for some time and he didn't want to cancel.

As for what could he do:

- be like Beto who has been using his resources to get people to warming centers, deliver food, etc.

- simply be a comfort to his constituents

- call the mega churches in Houston to convince them to open their doors

- simply sit at home, he probably has a generator.

I think this is a smart move. He sold out his dignity to uphold a pathological liar who undermined the Constitution AND insulted him AND insulted his wife AND accused his father of being involved in an assassination.

The heat of Cancun may be good practice for where old Teddy will end up at the end of his misbegotten life.

Good grief what is the big freaking deal? His daughters school closed for the week and wanted to go to Cancun with their friends and their friends parents. Cruz just flew down with them last night and came back today. Why do we have to make a big deal out of EVERYTHING?

He was never planning to come today until the 'optics' looked bad.

Do you have kids?

Your kids moan about wanting to go on vacation because school's closed, you drop your work at a critical time and go.

His wife was on the plane -- she can't handle the girls on her own?

He was never going to come back the next day ---- lol.

When we had the 2016 floods here in Louisiana, the media defended Obama's decision to continue playing golf at Martha's Vineyard. Double standards for Democrats and Republicans.

I was joking because they're a known common scapegoat for any misdeeds committed by a certain party's members.

Ted Cruz is not the President of the USa. It's not the same and you know that.

TX is Cruz's state. They're in a dire emergency. He should be there trying to help the people who elected him. Had Obama been an elected official for LA in 2016, he should have received criticism too.

From what I understand, since the girls were out of school this week. Cruz flew to Cancun with them and dropped them off with their friends and their parents last night and came back today. His wife did not go with them is my understanding but I could be wrong. I saw the size of his luggage and it sure didn't look big enough for a weeks worth of clothes, his laptop, toiletries and his winter coat. If what I understand turns out to be correct then I stand by my original comment. The only thing Cruz would have been doing to assist in the crisis if he'd stayed in Houston is make phone calls and he can certainly do that from anywhere.

I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt and I'd have done the same no matter who it was.
