So liberals throwing fits over a politician going to Cancun is relevant? Its pretty stupid and typical of the left.
The joke is that people take liberals seriously.
And the problem is too much demand. People leaving the state and not putting demand on the grid are actually a positive.
I've got plenty of cold friends and relatives in Texas.
Did you hurt yourself bending and twisting to get that one?
Its just optics if he sticks around. Its a state issue where Gov. Abbott needs to take the lead. A disaster area was declared so the money will flow to Texas. Not a fan of Cruz especially his spineless complicity of Trump but if he stuck around and did a bunch of photo ops that really does not change what is going on there. Its not like he is going to work on the power plants himself.
Texas does a good job with the summer heatwaves and the power grid. And they are very organized when hurricanes are approaching. Perhaps they need to do what is done during hurricanes when the next major cold snap hits and get as many people as possible to go to special shelters set up to house them and take the pressure off the grid. But now we have a pandemic going on and crowding people into auditoriums to sleep in would not work. So live and learn.
The big difference is counties handle hurricane prep and the after effects. Harris county is still fighting with the state, and other agencies about how to remediate the last hurricane damage. Money appropriated is still not getting to the people who need it due to in fighting among the different agencies involved. Last I looked Jeb’s kid won control.
Texas does buy electricity from Mexico during high demand in the summer.
