As I mentioned in my last post, Trump would be an idiot to start a 3rd party, as it would guarantee a (D) landslide in 2024.
He can however do what Bernie and the "Justice Democrats" have done. That is run as a Democrat, even though most are socialists/communists.
So if Trump started a movement, say the Patriot Republicans, and tried to primary RINO House and Senate (R's), that could work. Trump would naturally have to run as a (R) again on the presidential level, as running 3rd party would be a colossal mistake.
Since 2018, comparably small shares of registered voters in both parties have changed parties. About one-in-ten voters (9%) who affiliated with the Republican Party or leaned Republican in September 2018 now identify as Democrats or lean Democratic. An identical share of voters (9%) who two years ago identified as Democrats or leaned Democratic now align with the GOP.
Just wait. People may be fed up with the Republicans now but after four years of the destructive abysmal Biden administration they'll be back. There will be no other choice than to send creepy sleepy Joe back to the basement.
The exodus has nothing to do with the Capitol. Anyone who saw President Trump's speech knows he didn't incite anything. He said everybody should be peaceful and then disavowed the violence. It is also a fact that some of the rioters were left-wing antifa types. It has more to do with the weak, spineless GOP. We want fighters not cowards. I, myself, am considering switching from Republican to unaffiliated, but I would never vote for a Democrat.

He disavowed the violence?? What part of 'We love you' communicated how much he disapproved of them? Just wondering
I'm not aware that he ever used that word. Yes, we know that he was disappointed and said that Pence "didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution". That is an arguable assertion....and not all that surprising coming from a man who has shown us courage unseen before in our lifetimes to go against the grain of the political establishment.
"Didn’t have the courage" aligns Pence with just about every other politician in Washington. Using the word coward is a big step farther than that.
If you have a link to back up that specific reference, please share.
I'll stand 'slightly' corrected. The quote from Trump was "“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution . . . USA demands the truth!”
To my way of thinking, and you may not agree, this is the same thing as calling him a coward. See cowad below. lacking courage. I don't see alot of daylight there.
