Don't they understand they are being stooges for the government?
Evangelicals like to pretend opposition to the federal government, but their views always coincidentally align perfectly with the geo-political goals of the state.
edit: back in the 1950s it was very different, they just adjust their opinions to fit the view of the state department.
Now they hate Muslims because we are at war with jihadists. So much for these anti-government rednecks, all they do is support the federal government. They are not individualists or free thinkers, just patsies.

Haven't read the thread - just popped in to say "talk about incongruence." Most evangelicals would flip out if they truly comprehended that Jesus was a Jew - they would hate him if they fully realized this, but instead they project their "white boy" fantasies onto him.

Yeah evangelicals don't know Jesus was Jewish along with the apostle and the authors of Old and New Testament .

I haven't read the 30 year-old article, book, whatever it is. I can tell you the author is a hotshot academic supporteer of BDS who joined the academicc boycott of Israel.
Anyway, the the question of why Evangelicals 'love' Israel was been answered many times --- mainly because of Israel's place in end of times prophecy.
