I don't have a text article for this, so if you're interested you can see if you can find one. Watching bodycam footage kind of negates the need to have someone from a news outlet explain it to you, IMO.
After police get into a shootout with an intoxicated man, neighbors assist them with their own guns...
Personally, I like to see open carry. We were at a festival in a town where I saw people open carrying, and I felt safer on the streets. It is about time the good guys won one!
Neighborhood Watch is such a good thing, but anymore, I have noticed that most people don't want to bother with it, or even know their neighbors.

I heard an argument against creating a Neighborhood Watch program the other day. The crux of it is that if something ever goes wonky and someone gets killed, the possibility for a conspiracy to commit murder charge comes up. Pretty good argument against having any kind of formal arrangement.

Why can’t we just watch the body cam video without all the useless commentary?

Nobody said you couldn't. Feel free to go and find it.
I don't understand why you asked the question. Were you trying to make a point about my comment regarding the lack of a link to a printed article? That's fine, but I'd have two points in response.
First, I posted what I watched, which contained the bodycam footage. If you don't care for the commentary, mute your device. No need to comment about it.
Second, the commentary is from someone who was a police officer and breaks down these events for a living, so the perspective he's providing is likely to have much more value than that of a reporter whose main objective is meeting a deadline.
