Armed citizens were credited with limiting fatalities in a shooting in Louisiana on Saturday that left three people dead, including the suspect, according to authorities.
The outburst, at a gun store and range just down the road from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, also left two people wounded, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
This is why we have a 2nd Amendment in the United States.
How many more would have died if these 2 citizens were not there when this idiot opened fire
Existing gun laws prohibiting felons from owning guns should be vigorously enforced.
Unless the killers used a knife, automobile, IED, or an alternative means to kill. I doubt the firearm inspired a killer to kill, just made it a bit easier.
If any person is too intently dangerous to own a firearm, they are too dangerous to walk freely among us.
If nobody had any water, all the drowning victims would still be alive.

I always get a kick out of people who expect felons and other major-league lawbreakers to suddenly start obeying their new laws.
When will these self-righteous blinders-on unthinkers ever learn that the things they propose have already been tried, time and again, and the shooting rates and death rates just keep climbing?

Guns make it easier. That's why they are the most popular weapon used in homicides.
An estimated 60 to 80 percent of gun homicides are perpetrated with illegally obtained guns. Strict enforcement of existing laws would reduce homicides.
You lock them up at the first violation and keep them locked up.
Life sentence without possibility of parole? For, say, stealing a car?
How do you propose to get that law passed?
