I'm anti-socialist. I also have not - and will not - receive a stimulus check. However, I'm going to assume this is your way of thanking me for giving you free money. You're welcome.

Damn! This thread reminds me of something. I got my stimulus card in the mail several weeks ago and promptly misplaced it. Now I need to find it so I can use it to donate the funds to the Veterans' resource center.
How many Republicans are going to refuse the next round of stimulus checks? With all the rhetoric of socialism, Republicans are the first in line for financial "relief" programs. Calling them subsidies doesn't change the fact that you are taking money that you didn't earn.
President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion stimulus package advanced out of the House Budget Committee on Monday and is virtually set for a full House vote later this week.
Democrats led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi are expected to pass it along party lines Friday or Saturday.
If passed by the House, the bill will proceed to the Senate, where some of the bill’s biggest provisions, such as the $15 minimum wage, could be cut.
Thread fail. A stimulus check has little to nothing in common with long-term socialist society. The original argument is not an equivalency.
During the 2008 financial crisis, we saw the GOP change from the party of social conservatives to the party of conservative socialists. If they were really capitalists, they would be libertarians.

How is it that Republicans are so much more able to figure out how to feed, shelter, and clothe themselves (basic life necessities) than are Democrats and Independents? Republicans are far more likely to be self-supporting and not need public assistance program benefits than Democrats or Independents, who must, in much higher percentages, "take money that they didn't earn" to accomplish even the extremely basic task of feeding oneself. Is it a cultural thing? For example...
Percent of US adults in each group who have ever received Food Stamps
Republicans: 10%
Democrats: 22%
Independents: 17%
