What a strange take, Cohen was Trump's personal fixer. He has nothing to do with Trump's business accounting which were produced by institutional quality accounting firms.
Trump may or may not get convicted of some sort of accounting impropriety, if so then Cohen has no clue if it's likely or not
He knows Trump. He knows his ethics or lack thereof. He does not have to look at his financials to know if Trump likes to push the envelope financially or not. Look he was trying to his AG to all sorts of things that were not legal. If it personally benefits him he does not seem to worry about whether its right or wrong. That being said I don't think he will do more than pay a fine if that.
Cohen knows everything about Trump. He was protected while in office but he's fair game now. You have to wonder why he's fought so hard, all these years, trying to prevent his taxes being released.

Why did Trump say repeatedly before the 2016 election that he would gladly release his tax records as soon as a "routine audit" was completed? We now know that he was lying. Why didn't he claim, as you just did, that the media would distort and misrepresent his tax records so he would prefer to keep them private? That, of course, would be BS but no more BS than the "routine audit" BS. By the way, it's Charlottesville, not Charlotte.

Lol, imagine that. Obama was treated with kid gloves by many of those around him and by the media. Trump on the other hand was derided, non stop, from the time he'd announced he was running by many on the left, the right and the media. Anyone trying to peddle dirt about Obama would have likely been ignored and the person dishing it would have likely been ostracized, while those dishing dirt about Trump were lauded. Add to that, if someone were doing something that wasn't right then it seemed that Trump would can them. Obama, he'd simply turn a blind eye to their wrong doings (like Clapper lying to Congress).

“He has refused to let them look” — who is “them”? Some rabid Democrat DA in NY? Of course he didn’t want them poring over his personal details, they have publicly stated that they are on a mission to nail him to a cross. So he hired lawyers to roadblock their anal probe. It ended when the courts gave them access. All part of the legal games and now these people are themselves liable if they improperly disclose the information they are allowed to see.
Only a naïve person thinks that DJT has any detailed knowledge of his tax returns. He hires accountants to isolate him from those details, and that virtually eliminates the possibility of a DA proving intent and criminal culpability. This is just showboating by prosecutors who are likely angling for advantage in their own political careers.
