It’s terrible what the police did for George Floyd but enough is enough already. Memorials on every channel. He had a rap sheet and 1 for assault. He was on drugs when he died. Again. He didn’t deserve to die but making him out to be a hero. And the media is.... is just crazy. What about David Dorn a 77 year old black police officer that was shot and killed by a looter? Doesn’t he deserve a big televised memorial? Can other people have funerals right now? Weddings? Can people gather in church without mask and social distancing? Yet right now people are packed shoulder to shoulder in a church? It’s just so unsettling.

Weird how you say it's terrible what happened to George Floyd, yet you couldn't leave out the part about his criminal record, which had nothing to do with the incident surrounding his death.

It's not about him being a hero, but how he was brutally suffocated to death for over 9 minutes as he repeatedly told the officers he couldn't breathe.

So many people seem to be completely out of touch with what this whole George Floyd/Breanna Taylor/Ahmad Arbery movement means to African-Americans, and it's really sad.

No, he doesn't, Emma. He doesn't matter. He doesn't matter to those who want to keep people divided and to those who want our country to devolve into chaos and turmoil. David Dorn's life doesn't matter to these evil scum. It's all a parade. A show. A sick freak show of proposterous levels.

Though it may not SEEM like it, more and more people are waking up to the lies and propaganda that is being spoon fed to them on a daily basis.

weird how you latch onto that one little bit in order to ignore the entire point of her post.

weird, but far from surprising.

The man was murdered by police and regardless of his "rap sheet", he still didn't do anything to warrant the death penalty. He's not a hero, he's an example of the worst of the police. There is far too often no justice for people killed by the police. Especially black people. And it won't be too much until things actually change.

David Dorn matters very much, but there is no question that there will be justice for his murder. I live here and I know how his life and death has been well covered and mourned (despite me never turning on Fox News or reading some right wing rag). He will have the funeral his family wants him to have.

Happily watching MeTV, Blue Bloods, Law & Order, anything but this. George Floyd horrific; the aftermath even worse. They lost me a week ago with the out of control looting and burning causing hundreds of millions in damage, lost jobs forever, and ambush attacks on the police. No sympathy here. And, fwiw, I am a never Trumper.
