Many factories over here have closed because our politicans raised our tax rate. Most states also have a 5% tax rate to add to the tax burden here.
When Trump lowered the tax rate , it stimulated small and large businesses here to make a profit. Large government spending will one day eat up all of our paychecks . Just wait until we have no money to borrow and taxes and inflation will kill all prosperity.
What advanced country has a lot of factories still running when it's so much cheaper to have things produced in China? Higher taxes may have nothing major to do with it.
What Trump did should have done a lot better for the economy than it did. He said his actions would make the GNP grow by 6%. It got nowhere near that. This even though he was already working with near zero interest rates and low gas prices. Trump in frustration even entertained the idea to make people spend more of their money by having negative interest rates. Too many big companies from tax cuts bought back some of their own stock. It helped the stock market to grow but not as much for the companies.
Why do you think the American people have been buying guns & ammo in record numbers for the last 13 years ? It's not just guns & ammo either, it's medical supplies, long term food storage, home canning supplies, and various other items in short supply. And I don't think any of its pandemic related shortages in the supply chain. As a population we tend to be slow to anger but keep trying to shove communism at Americans and the push back isn't going to be pretty.
