What reason do you have to believe a student bringing an American flag into a Mexican school on an American holiday would create any kind of a ruckus?
Of course that would never happen because American students wouldn't be in a mexican school. Not too many Americans move to mexico for the same reason so many mexicans move HERE.
I already agreed the teach shouldn't have thrown the kid's belongings in the trash.
The fact that it's a Mexican flag is irrelevant. In spite of the teacher's feelings on the matter, he didn't have the right to throw out the kid's stuff.
I have no idea what the reaction would be and neither do you. The case we are discussing, the teacher was wrong and may have a penalty for tossing that flag in the trash.
WOW! I'm shocked! I can't believe these "rollover and play dead" responses! IMO, some of these OP's checked their American citizenship at the keyboard! I'd like to post a link to this thread for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) website, of which I am a member (Viet-Nam), unfortunately, City-Data's TOS prevent me from doing so and I really can't afford another warning!
I wonder what the comments would be if the teacher had thrown the kid's Bible in the trash? Or perhaps the kid's copy of the US Constitution?
IMO, the comments would be just the opposite! It's OK to throw the Bible or the United States Constitution in the trash, just not a foreign nation's flag! Excuse me, but I'm feeling sick to my stomach!

Not at all, your post #11 implied you believed an American flag in a Mexican school would cause problems. I'm curious why you believe that?
