Seth MacFarlane is another liberal who is openly disgusted by this turn for the worst that the left has taken.
A while back, he used to blame the media for "exaggerating" it, but recent tweets from him, indicate that he has changed his views since then.
And others are certainly waking up to the incredible danger we're heading towards. We really don't want to see the American Cultural Revolution, but that's where the Far Left is pushing things and most of the political Left isn't doing a thing to stop them.
Maher bases his comedy/opinions with nearly no political affiliation of any kind. It has actually garnered Maher an unusual kind of respect, and a significant following.
I’m pretty left and I abhor censorship in any form.
Two main reasons, first is I really don’t believe in censorship of artistic expression. It’s a killer of creativity and free observational thought.
And second, if you expunge unpleasant views from cultural history, it becomes impossible to measure how far we’ve come against any given timeframe.
And I guess there’s a third - which is it much better to have stuff out in the open where it can be addressed rather than shoved underground to fester in the darkness.
And ooh fourth - people should be free to say what they like, and free to criticise what’s been said in return.
Every once in a while I see a post as insightful as this on C-D, and I hope lots and lots of people are seeing it. This is an outstanding post and I absolutely agree. As a former liberal, I used to love Bill Maher - but once I was red pilled regarding how insidiously false most mainstream news is (particularly when it comes to politics), I fell "out of love" with him.
However, despite his obvious Trump Derangement Syndrome, Maher plays an integral role in our politics. He is truly one of the only avenues of dialogue remaining between the two diametrically opposed schools of thought right now.
I mean, the fact that my liberal parents probably were learning for the first time what is actually being taught in our schools by Social Justice dogmatists is somewhat comforting.
For a brief, precious moment, my parents (and other sane liberals) were seeing the illusion that our Fake Matrix Media has created crumble. There was a pin prick of light through the darkness they have manufactured to keep people ignorant. We were both seeing the same thing. Reality.
And for that, Bill Maher provides an invaluable service - despite the fact that he's all in on the Russia conspiracy theory bologna.
Both if these factions are effing nuts and they are followed millions and millions of fervores Americans. For these people. Their is only one truth and if you dont follow it. You will be punished.
