Bill has been very consistent on these issues over the years. As someone from a center/left position I commend and applaud him for it.

I've posted this classic clip before. Bill made this hilarious and very on point 5 minute clip on these same issues in 2015.

First half of the clip excoriates the right, the second half excoriates the left.

And others are certainly waking up to the incredible danger we're heading towards. We really don't want to see the American Cultural Revolution, but that's where the Far Left is pushing things and most of the political Left isn't doing a thing to stop them.

Maher bases his comedy/opinions with nearly no political affiliation of any kind. It has actually garnered Maher an unusual kind of respect, and a significant following.

Two main reasons, first is I really don’t believe in censorship of artistic expression. It’s a killer of creativity and free observational thought.

And second, if you expunge unpleasant views from cultural history, it becomes impossible to measure how far we’ve come against any given timeframe.

And I guess there’s a third - which is it much better to have stuff out in the open where it can be addressed rather than shoved underground to fester in the darkness.

And ooh fourth - people should be free to say what they like, and free to criticise what’s been said in return.
Every once in a while I see a post as insightful as this on C-D, and I hope lots and lots of people are seeing it. This is an outstanding post and I absolutely agree. I wish I could put it in 1000-point red font with blinking neon yellow as the background, and put it up on the billboard (especially the bolded). Thanks for sharing this Finster. Sometimes I lean left, sometimes I lean right, most of the time I'm in the middle, but truth is truth, and you brought it.

Is there any limit or end to the accusations?

"Loudoun County Schools cancel Dr. Seuss for 'racial undertones'"

"Another day, another cancellation.

Yesterday, it was Mr. Potato Head. Today, it’s Dr. Seuss.

March 2 marks Read Across America Day, a national recognition of Dr. Seuss’ birthday for more than 20 years. Now, a liberal educator group dubbed “Learning for Justice” is demanding Dr. Seuss‘ books be stripped from school libraries because of their “racial undertones.”"

"[...] too many of the non-White characters are male.

Book banning in our public schools has become all too common — and terrifying.

Last year, Burbank Unified School District in California banned five classic novels from being taught in their curriculum: Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird,” Mark Twain’s “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men,” Theodore Taylor’s “The Cay” and Mildred D. Taylor’s Newbery Medal-winning young-adult classic “Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.”"

Stand up America! Cancel culture MOST GO!

This was good, but the interview with Megyn Kelly at the beginning is even better:

As a former liberal, I used to love Bill Maher - but once I was red pilled regarding how insidiously false most mainstream news is (particularly when it comes to politics), I fell "out of love" with him.

However, despite his obvious Trump Derangement Syndrome, Maher plays an integral role in our politics. He is truly one of the only avenues of dialogue remaining between the two diametrically opposed schools of thought right now.

I mean, the fact that my liberal parents probably were learning for the first time what is actually being taught in our schools by Social Justice dogmatists is somewhat comforting.

For a brief, precious moment, my parents (and other sane liberals) were seeing the illusion that our Fake Matrix Media has created crumble. There was a pin prick of light through the darkness they have manufactured to keep people ignorant. We were both seeing the same thing. Reality.

And for that, Bill Maher provides an invaluable service - despite the fact that he's all in on the Russia conspiracy theory bologna.
