If humans needed clothes to survive we would have evolved them automatically.

If humans needed asthma inhalers to survive we would have grown them into our skulls.

If humans needed helmets to survive our heads would be made of steel.

and on and on

Evolution takes millions of years. If COVID is around for that long then yes, natural selection will make that feature possible in the future.

I think the problem really is that humans are filthy animals. A decade or 2 ago there was all sorts of outbreaks on cruise ships that made people very sick. The issue was people did not wash their hands before and after hitting all the buffets and they were spreading germs.

The same thing happens during the flu season and now the more contagious Covid. The Flu never really took off this year and that is due to people wearing masks but also being more conscious not to lick door knobs. People don't generally lick doorknobs but they do sneeze into the open air, cough in their hands then open a door and the next person puts his hand on that germy handle then rubs his eye or picks his nose.

If we were cleaner and more conscious of others we wouldn't be sneezing and coughing on them but instead stay home.

Of course here in the US we try to be clean, sometimes too clean and we go out of our way to disinfect and sanitize everything when half of the world is sitting in the dirt to eat a meal.

One has to wonder why the Covid hasn't decimated the homeless population?

They keep telling us that Covid did not escape from that Chinese lab so that makes it a natural virus that Mother Nature released on the world to cull the population but they are just playing politics.

We evolved the ability to make masks. And clothes and fire and wheels.

Is this thread a joke?

I have evolved. I know that people who devote their lives to the study of infectious diseases might know more than laypeople, therefore, I wear a mask if they recommend it. I have concern for the people in my community and want them to stay well.

Your useless cloth mask(s) have not saved one single life. But you are a hero in your own mind.

How do you account for the fact that those who religiously wear a mask, and distance, don't seem to get COVID?

And those who DO get covid can point to times when they gathered without masks?

If one thinks a mask keeps them safe, wear one. Just don't demand I wear one for your safety too. I have no obligation to keep anyone but me safe.
