The Michigan Health Director resigned/quit and winds up with a $155K 'seperation agreement' along with 9 months of Cobra/health insurance. Not that common in state government.

https://www.detroitnews.com/story/ne...al/6874254002/

So what is being covered up or he is not supposed to talk about?

My guess is the nursing homes deaths. Or the “science” which Whitmer continuously used to justify the shutdowns (without ever providing evidence of such science).

I am in a very liberal part of Michigan and the silence around this is astounding. Nobody will talk about it.

Even if nothing shady was going on, at the very least it's horrible optics for Whitmer.

That's not exactly what the article says.

...Separation agreements are common among private business executives and sometimes among government officials, and they often include financial payouts, non-disparagement clauses and legal protections, according to experts...

Now is not the time to complain. That should have been done long ago when hiring protocols were established.

Common among private businesses. Private business not government. If it's government it's more than likely about classified material. And the leaked agreement is showing the dollar amount and cobra coverage. The entire agreement is not there.

It's pretty common in Massachusetts - even for the crooks in that government.

Yes, I can read the words I quoted. Can you?

Also, I was unaware that there was state level classified information. Can you give an example? Are the classifications the same as the Federal classifications?

That's the point. Usually unless one had access to the classified data why would/should he sign a seperation agreement unless she just threw him a bone. That's no good either because unless other Michigan employees get to negotiate their exit why should this guy or title.

No, the point is that the article you cited doesn't say it's "not common" for it to happen in state governments.

What "classified data"?

People sign separation agreements/NDAs/non-compete agreements all the time, for lots of reasons.
