Yep. They do not want to do this. They have completed their public posturing virtue signalling pose for the control freak, panic inciting and lockdown loving Democrat left. That is done.
The Democrat left will advocate and push for these sorts of coercive, controlling, oppressive measures until the end of time, unless people push back. This is not part of some benign, compassionate concern on their part. This is "never let a crisis go to waste" moment, yet again. They positively love these sorts of inhumane, unnatural, forced impositions on people. It is fundamentally who they are.
If people ever want to get free of this crap, they are going to have to push back and maybe even fight for it. The Democrat left will not allow people their freedom voluntarily, of their own good will or volition. The very idea runs contrary to who those people fundamentally are and what they are trying to do to our country right now.

Yep. They are playing to both sides. It is very likely that this is how HEB will handle this as well.
But it is important that we push back against the idea that being muzzled in this way is "normal," not to mention necessary. It is not.

Lots of cities not enforcing their mask mandates either. In my town, if you appear at Wal-Mart without a mask on, a worker at the door will offer you a free mask. But if you decline, you will be let in the store, anyway.
Why couldn't Texas just wait until the vaccine is available for everyone ? That would have been the sensible, middle-ground solution.
Well, Dallas has 45.5% immunity now. The state has opened up vaccines for 50 years and up. How much longer are people supposed to wait, it's time. People can still wear masks and non vaccinated at risk people should of course.
Why couldn't Texas just wait until the vaccine is available for everyone ? That would have been the sensible, middle-ground solution.
Oh please. How many more times must the economy and our kids suffer for the constant "moving the goalpost" philosophy?
