Right, responsible for yourselves until you go crying to the federal government for FEMA or other bailout funds.

My thoughts, exactly.
We are 70+. We have been vaccinated, and are finished with the fear mongering. We abide by the mask regulations and distancing, but are living normally from now on.

Through the whole pandemic, I’ve only known one person who had Covid, and it was my grandson in college, whose symptoms lasted a few days.

Simply eliminating the edicts is not going to bring back normal. The virus controls until it doesn't anymore. There was a TV survey (unscientific) here in Phoenix a couple days ago asking if people would attend spring training games this year that are partially open to fans. Nearly two thirds of respondents said no because they fear for their health at such events.

That's easy for you to say now that you are vaccinated!

CDC says otherwise. They flipped flopped saying they protect the people wearing them too.

Oh I genuinely didn't know that. Even better then, as long as you wear a mask you're protected so there's less reason to worry what other people do.

Some masks are better than others though. It is a shame we don't have N95 masks cheap and available to all Americans even now.

With this announcement, our hospitals will soon be operating at 100% capacity EDIT: I also learned the mask mandate will be lifted as of March 10th.

Hopefully most Texans are smarter than their governor. Opening everything up doesn't mean things will be the way they were pre-Covid.
