I think a better question is: Would you vote for him again?
Against Trump? Absolutely!
Against someone like Cruz or many of the other Republican candidates chomping at the bit to be on the 2024 ticket? Absolutely!
Against Romney, Kasich, or other benevolent Republicans if they were running? That might be a closer call. I would probably still pick Biden, though I would be open to considering a Republican, the type who isn't trying to start a fascist revolution, if they were an extremely strong candidate. No matter who I picked in a case like that, I wouldn't feel like the outcome would be a disaster to our country.
Against Pete Buttigieg? I'd probably pick Buttigieg.
No regrets. He was and still is the better of the options we had.
I don't worship politicians, so I don't think he's flawless by any means.
In the same situation, I'd choose him again.
Wait a minute. He was so bad that in every other race that he ran for President he was always kicked to the curb. The better option was to do a write in vote rather than participate in the train wreck.
I did a write in and I can hold my head high and say, I am no partner to this mess.
With two party system where any third vote is pointless, then its choice of Biden the decrepit Moderate Republican verses Trump the Putinist neo-fascist that wants to destroy American democracy through his firehose of lies. Gee what choice is that. Biden wins by default unless you like fascists and are ready to give up on democracy.
I regret not having a better, younger choice but not choosing Biden over the Golden Grifter.
Back when there were 25 Democratic Candidates Harris was on my short list. She was DA in San Francisco when I lived there and did a good job.
