387K died between February 2020 and January 20, 2021. It then became Biden’s watch. As of yesterday 535K have died, this means between January 21, 2021 and today, March 5, 2021, an additional 148K Americans have died. So, 62% of the deaths belong to Trump’s 11 months and 38% belong to Biden’s 1.5 months. Based on Ms. Psaki’s criteria, Team Biden doesn’t exactly have much in the way of bragging rights themselves.

Probably acknolage that the virus is dangerous, like he did in private. But acknowledge it to the public and not actively encourage his followers to not wear masks and pretend it was all a game.

No, see, the problem is that the virus doesn't care about individual choice, the nature of a pandemic means that individuals affect other individuals.
So I'm not saying Trump should go full on authoritarian and make everyone where masks all the time. But if he enouraged it, hell made it seem like it was a republican stance to mask up and wear MAGA masks to show how much more responsible republican are than the "*******s", he might be president today.
Instead, while people died, he did this:

Honestly, none of the pharmaceutical companies needed the handout. They would have dove all in on the vaccine anyways. They are making money on this big time.
Pres. Trump formed and ran "Operation Warp Speed", which got govt restrictions and paperwork out of the faces of the companies developing the vaccines. As a result, we had several vaccines thoroughly tested, available and in full production in a year or less. And people are getting shots for them right now.
Would Biden have done that?
If vaccine companies were left to do it "the ordinary way", we would have had to wait at least 2-3 more years before we could start getting "Covid-19 shots".
At a rate of 500,000 Americans dying per year without vaccines, how many more Americans would have died before a Biden administration finally let a tested vaccine be distributed?
A million or more Americans, would have died.
For some reason the scoffers now in the White House never mention that little fact.
