They are even teaching about Malcolm X to children in elementary school now.
Actually I don't see teaching about Malcolm X or Huey Newton or Cesar Chavez or any other rebel leader to be a problem at all, as it could lead to some very interesting discussions. In my opinion, censorship is the problem.

Not a chance. The top 5% of households in Evanston have a mean income of $800,000, which is higher than any town in Illinois with a population of 65,000 or more. Evanston belongs to a cluster of 9 suburbs known collectively as the North Shore. Due to location and prestige, it will always be desirable to the elite and the bar of entry is a little too high for it to see a huge amount of low income to just take over. The city continues to build high rise condos downtown, which is a playground for white collar workers and NWU students.
Evanston is a liberal city, but kind of residentially segregated. Northwest Evanston( the portion that's cut off by the Chicago/Skokie River) is around 85% white, whereas blacks mostly confined to the west central and south ends, but it's still mixed( majority of hispanics also live in these areas of the city).
The city has been hemorrhaging its black( African American) population for the past 20 years, as close to 5,000 have left since year 2000. I wonder if many of them had move to neighboring Skokie, since it has seen an increase at the sane time. Evanston had seen a gain of hispanics and Asians since then, constituting 21% of the total population. A sizable portion of the black population are of Caribbean and African immigrant descent.

the only ones who might be owed reparations are people who were actual slaves. Find them and give them the money, not all these people who had nothing to do with slavery.

So punishing the people of today that had nothing to do with it will fix the past? Other groups did well without this faux retribution. Don't you think Blacks are good enough to do it also? Why do you think they're inferior?

If reparations are supposed to fix everything, $25K is a slap in the face.
That’s not enough to change anyone’s life or get a house in a “white” neighborhood.
Shame on liberals who think history can be changed with cheap discounts and handouts.
