will be interesting to see how long it takes for merriam-webster.com to change their definition..

Unilever, which owns Dove, Axe and other personal-care brands, has said it would no longer use the word “normal” on its products and in its advertising, after a study found that it makes most people feel excluded.

Today, it's normal to be offended and feel excluded.

Your link wouldn't work for me, so here's another link to the story. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-56331524

"Dove's owner said the editing ban would apply to "body shape, size, proportion and skin colour" and "normal" would be removed from 200 products.

Its boss said it wanted to create a "more inclusive definition of beauty".

The firm has previously faced allegations that it promoted stereotypes around dark skin tones."

The article went on to say that mostly, the word 'normal' would be removed from mostly shampoos and face lotions. And that the word 'normal' implies that there's an 'abnormal' and they want to get away from that.

For many years now, Dove has been promoting more inclusivity in their branding. It's good marketing for them. The more inclusive, the more sales.

In today's "outrage of the day" world, 'normal' is likely considered racist.

Yet they will keep using the term "New and Improved" on many of their brands. It is impossible to be both at the same time. If it's new, there was nothing before it. If it's improved, there was something before it. Since we're playing word games, ya know....

Normal literally means the overwhelming majority, which means "most people." What's next, banning the notion that being born blind or deaf is not normal?

The insanity of the woke-stupid is destroying science and now medicine
