My wife is of Polish roots also. Never been there though. I favor moving to Canada myself. I know they have their "immigration" problems to but nothing like we are experiencing here.
If your wife's family never renounced their citizenship then she would be entitled to a EU passport through blood descent! If S**T hits the fan here! Got to have a backup plan! I can be a farmer Good luck with Canada its near impossible unless their economy needs you.
Oldglory my Dad passed over 2 years ago. Spanish was his first language yet I'm sure he would have agreed with you. He could have pressed 2 for Spanish when calling companies but he refused to do so. He said "press 2 for Spanish" has no place in this country.
We shouldn't have to learn a second language to accommodate Spanish speakers. To add insult to injury, far too many of them are here illegally. If one moves to another country, it's up to newcomers to learn the local language, not up those who live there to accommodate newcomers.

What’s xenophobic about that? My grandparents were the same way. When they immigrated here, they were thrilled to be new Americans - and one of the first things they did was learn to speak the language. They wanted to adapt to their new country, and the last thing they expected was that Americans already here would have to adapt to THEM - and learn the language of the country they emigrated from.
No thanks. Im practicing polish! Just found out my great grandparents immigrated to the US from Poland and I have an active application for Polish citizenship by descent.
Might have to leave this party when I retire and get some nice farmland in Europe if this plan of mine goes through!

They most certainly can rent my house here in Austin TX when I live .. I'm sure it will be pulling in 2500-3000 monthly by then
Of course they can't afford that but if here illegally or making bogus asylum claims they shouldn't be renting anything here. They should be paying rent in their own countries.

Thank you, Rachel! I couldn't rep you again.
Exactly! When my maternal grandparents came here from Europe, one of the first things they did was to start going to night school to learn English. They both kept at it until they achieved fluency. Their next step was to become US citizens.

A xenophile is a person who loves foreigners and other cultures more than their own even if they are here illegally. Seems like that might fit you to a tee.
